weather poem 3

got to see that amazing solar eclipse last summer.
my eyes teared up instantly. in complete awe.
which is where aw(e)ful comes from?

Herodotus said the sky went dark
in the middle of the day when the Medes
battled the Lydians. they
then ceased fighting and came to a peace.

i see how people would think the world
was ending or that god(dess) was
sending a sign.

it occurs to me that eclipses happen
the sky goes dark
the seeming end of the world
happens

because of perfect alignment.
every once in a while, these giant
figures line up so perfectly in time
+ cycle
that they eclipse each other
and create aw(e)ful darkness.

soft sun.

 venn diagrams.
simplicity as the god of Chaos?

feel all of the in-between.
knees bending.
squeeze your butt.
gaze up →  sunrise/sunset

what are you touching?
how do you touch it?
what does it mean that you touch it?

The
Sun
is your
Spine.

aren’t we supposed to be the center
of our own universe.
the sun isn’t happy. like a clown.
the sun is the lighthouse in your ribcage.

suspended in gravity instead of fighting against it.
things don’t have to be perfect to be valuable.
penetrate space
receive space

that rehearsal when Hez became Mt. Fuji in a Bjork video.
Nicholas, soften. be milk.
beacon of stillness.
