Imagining Accessibility w— Artist Barry Lee

In this episode, Barry talks about whose imagination is making this moment possible for him, making holistic approaches more accessible and less able-ist, and he shares the story about the moment when he stepped into his own and really claimed his identity as a queer disabled person and realized he had to become the representation he wanted to see. Barry also shares about the relationship between boundaries and vulnerability and why it’s important to reflect upon our own behavior more so than it is to judge other people’s behavior.

Barry Lee is an Illustrator, Muralist & Storyteller based in Atlanta, Georgia. His work is very color and whimsical and the images are vehicles for meaningful stories that encourage a moment of mindfulness and extended awareness.
